DISCOUNT ADVICE EP OUT NOW!

DISCOUNT ADVICE. The Swan Hill EP is out now.
Releasing an EP has been an ambition of ours for a while now, and this is a collection of songs that we feel really fit together and do justice to the format.
These 5 tracks showcase what this band is all about, and the different facets and elements that anyone who’s come to see us live has gotten to know, and hopefully love/enjoy/tolerate to some extent.
From hooky power pop tunes to walls of Big Muff drenched fuzz guitars. Slacker grunge riffs to atmospheric (some would say anthemic) outros. Sweet vocal harmonies to good old screaming our lungs out. There’s a lot going on here, and we hope it’s an enjoyable listen and one that lends itself to repeat spins.
Along with the songs themselves, we’re really happy with the way this EP has turned out and how it sounds. Our gameplan was for it to sound like a long lost EP from 1992 that Steve Albini had some involvement in, and we may just have managed that. Maybe we’ll hide some copies in the reduced section in Spillers to test the theory.
Huge credit to Rory for producing and mixing this thing, doing these songs justice, and capturing what this band should sound like.
A big thanks to Jordan as well for engineering the sessions, getting the magic onto tape [digital audio recordings] at his studio, and getting the rhythm section sounding huge.
Go give it a few listens and enjoy!
ROSEBUD/LANDLINES 🥀☎️

We’re delighted to release our latest double A-side single on Bandcamp & all good (and bad) streaming services.
We’re very proud of how these tracks have turned out and excited to be able to get two of our favourites to play live out into the world.
The anthemic ROSEBUD has become a staple of the band’s live sets with its driving guitar riff, searing Mascis-esque dual guitar solos and vocal harmonies akin to the Wilson brothers after several cans of Oranjeboom. The lyrics touch upon age-old topics such as the loss of youth, microwaveable evening meals and the poor selection of vinyl at charity shops.
